IT in the D Media Madness Tonight, Events, Blogs, Concert Tickets and More

Well, this is going to be a fun little week of chaos and running around.

We’ve got our IT in the D broadcast tonight, an event to hit tomorrow night, another event to hit Friday night, some random mayhem for the weekend…

Sleep is highly over-rated, right?

So let’s talk some details…

1240193_642481039103695_1898118398_nAs always, let’s talk events first.

Our next casual networking event for professionals in and around the metro Detroit information technology community takes place on Thursday, November 21st at Falling Down Beer Company.

Great place, looking forward to seeing everyone there.

We’ve had Mark from Falling Down on the IT in the D show with us twice now, so if you’re looking for a little information and background on the place, you can listen to those here or here.

Details can be found on our events page –, on Facebook –, or on Meetup –

If nothing else, we amuse ourselves there.

Now, once you’ve gotten that out of the way, you can start thinking about everything going on this week.

We’ve got our IT in the D broadcast tonight, and we’ll get to that momentarily.

Tomorrow night, there’s an event with the cool folks from the Great Lakes Technology Showcase down at Old Shillelagh.  It starts at 8:00, and while it’s something a little out of the ordinary for us, it’s definitely got a targeted demographic.  So hit our events page and read up on it.

And then on Friday night, there’s a nifty little anniversary party taking place.  The ladies from Girl Develop It – Detroit are celebrating doing what they do for a year now with an event at Grand Circus.  Again, check out the events page for details:

Tonight is our eighteenth episode of our IT in the D show, and we’ve got some fun guests lined up.

Cherry from Blue Argyle Media will be in-studio with us, as will Toscano Media…and possibly a third guest depending on how things work out.

If you’ve been to our last two Pink Slip Party events at St Andrews Hall, then you might recognize Cherry as the photographer who took some awesome shots at both events.

The Toscano Media folks have recently started up their own multimedia company, and we got to know them through a little side project Bob and I are involved in a bit.

As to the third…well, we’ll see how things shake out over the course of the day.

We’re also going to be kicking off a series of ticket giveaways to upcoming events at St Andrews Hall.

Tonight, we’ll be handing out a pair of tickets to The Devil Makes Three on Saturday, November 9th.

Listen live tonight: for your chance to win.
