Listen Live Tonight! IT in the D Broadcast, A Special Event and More

Here we are at another Monday.

Fall is definitely in the air, as is the threat of rain…which must mean that we’re due for another IT in the D broadcast tonight.

9pm on or via the TuneIn Radio app, and we’ve got all kinds of other fun stuff going on…

Thursday, October 17th.

Royal Oak.

Back room.

5:01pm start time.

Some of the greatest folks in the metro Detroit information technology industry will be on-hand and in the room to hang out for a casual chat, help you find your next job, or point you in the right direction if you’re looking to hire.

Details on all of our events can always be found on our events page here on the site – – on Meetup at, and on Facebook at

Based on everything we’ve seen from past trends and events, odds are good that this will be a slightly-larger-than-normal casual networking event. The month after one of our Pink Slip Party events just always seem to work out that way.

Our November and our December holiday-ish / “Support the Troops” events have been scheduled, and we’re also doing something of a one-off for you hardware / infrastructure / telecomm folks that always tell us that we need to do something specifically in your area of interest.

On Tuesday, November 5th, we’re partnering up with the good folks from the Great Lakes Technology Showcase who invited us to join one of their networking reception events.  There will be a whole host of companies who are looking to hire for those areas, and so if you’re one of those people who have been buzzing in our ear about this…no excuses, go read and then plan on being at Old Shillelagh on Tuesday the 5th.

You all knew it was only a matter of time before I made a “Manic Monday” reference…

Our 14th episode of IT in the D takes place live tonight from 9pm to 11pm, and we hope you can join us.

Should be a great conversation with the good folks of Brightwing…and we’re still kind of up in the air on our second guest thanks to whacky mayhem ensuing, but I’m sure we’ll find something to talk about for two hours.  It’s not that difficult with us.

Because I was in a weird, eclectic mood while I was working on it, the music for tonight’s breaks is equally weird and eclectic.

Should be an interesting night all around.

As a reminder, all of the details you need to know about how to listen, how to call in and be part of the show with questions and comments, catching up on past episodes, etc., can all be found on our Listen Live page at

In other news, we’ve got Don’t Be That Guy: The Fallen Angel out at for you to read, as well as Doesn’t Know How To Say No Guy over at

Our LinkedIn group has chats about the Adobe hack and a whole bunch of other fun stuff.  Check that out at
