So We Drank a Brewery Out of a Beer Last Night…

That’s right.  We killed…the Ninja Chicken.

Luckily they had others available, but the Ninja Chicken certainly was a crowd favorite.

All things being equal, I’d say our event last night at Falling Down Beer Company was a good one.

Sure, it had a hiccup or two, but…

…still, a good one.

Especially given that they’re still in “soft opening” mode, which means they’re still working out the kinks but have the doors open, it went well.

(translation: as Bob pointed out to a few people, you can blame me for this one if you feel the need to do so)

So yep, the bar area got a little cramped with 20-25 people hanging out in it.  That’ll get better as they rip those booths out, especially the ones right by the bar area.  Plus, lesson learned…we probably should’ve parked ourselves at one of the back tables instead of by the bar in order to draw the crowd back that way instead of cramming to mingle up front.

And yes, much like Dragonmead…it’s not a full service bar.  Just their beer and Faygo available.

Parking…could’ve been better, it got full pretty quickly, but most everyone figured out to just park in the McDonald’s lot next door once it got full.

Another event with a lot of new faces, and another round of us asking the same question: “How is it that people are still just hearing about us for the first time?”  We think we’re all over the place and doing well with getting the word out…but perhaps not as much as we’d thought.

We’ll definitely let them finish getting ready before we head back there for another event, but I’ve already been told that there will be return trips to hit the beer and reuben eggrolls (and oh my, if you didn’t try the reuben eggrolls, you missed out…a reuben…inside an eggroll.  outstanding) with a few people in the near future.

facebook_1432755027So…that’s another event in the books, and now we bear down for the Pink Slip Party at St Andrews Hall next month on 3/13/13.  As a reminder, that’s a “weird” day for us, in that the event will be taking place on a Wednesday night instead of our usual Thursday pattern.
