Well, we managed to survive Motor City Comic Con. Our Podcast Detroit booth came together amazingly well, and we did several live broadcast sessions over the course of the weekend that we’ll get out live in the coming days. As exhausted as we are, there’s no rest for the wicked though as we dive right back in with episode 144 of our weekly live podcast broadcast tonight with guests Ming Chen, Jimmy McKnight, and Randy Walker. Jimmy runs the Ninja Starship show on Sundays on Podcast Detroit, Ming Chen is probably best known for his work with Kevin Smith on AMC’s Comic Book Men, but also does the Ming and Mike Show with Michael Zapcic on our network, and Randy is a familiar face to those of you at our events, as well as for those who follow us on Twitter during our shows. Oh, and we’ve also got our in-person casual networking event this Thursday over at Hopcat downtown upstairs in the Huma Room…
Like we always do, we start with our next in-person event. We made it through Motor City Comic Con weekend, wo we’ll be seeing you this Thursday, May 21st in the Huma Room (the upstairs bar) at Hopcat.
5pm start time. No agendas. No speakers. No sales pitches.
Just good, solid networking opportunities with some of the best and brightest folks in and around the metro Detroit information technology scene.
Naturally, that will be one of the many topics of conversation we get into tonight during episode 144 of our IT in the D podcast broadcasting live…for the last time…from our current Podcast Detroit studio. Yep, the last time, since we’re moving to our new studio location in a dedicated building as of this Friday, so this will be the last broadcast from our current studio as we make the transition and kick off things in the new building next week. So there’s another good reason to listen live tonight, to get caught up on all of the details on that front.
Not that you really NEED another reason to listen, since we’re going to have a blast tonight. We’ll be talking all things Motor City Comic Con with our guests who were at the show, and find out how an Ann Arbor guy got hooked up with Kevin Smith to run his web projects and properties.
…as always, you should listen live to hear it all…and as we keep telling you, you’d do well to grab the Podcast Detroit app for Android or iOS and listen that way. You can find those apps here: http://www.podcastdetroit.com/how-to-listen/ The app was just recently updated to make finding out information about new shows, as well as catching show archives, a lot easier.
