EventNewspaper_septPSP2015bAlthough anyone in the IT industry is welcome to attend this event, this invitation is being extended specifically to professionals and job seekers in the Information Technology Security field and professionals interesting in this growing field.

As always, the event is free to attend, there will be no speakers, and names will not be sold. Recruiters and hiring managers will be tagged with a lanyard and the open-floor concept is highly conducive to networking and interaction. Job seekers are asked to merely bring business cards as resumes are not being accepted.

There will be a cash bar and pizza will be provided from Sgt. Pepperoni.

IT in the D resident ‘Sales Guy’ Bob Waltenspiel adds, “What started as a couple guys and a bar stool has turned into something bigger than us all. Roughly 1,600+ people have found jobs through our events. Just simply acknowledging that job fairs are awful and doing something about has really had a positive impact to the local IT community in Metro Detroit. We refuse kickbacks from all of our recruiters and relish in the fact that this is still grass roots.”

DSC_0088-1024x685IT in the D’s David “The Geek” Phillips adds, “We are very excited to have a number of sponsors present at the event.  The event will also feature other great, local recruiting agencies such as Arrow Strategies, W3r, and STG, and training opportunities and information from New Horizons.”

Recruiters and hiring managers are being asked to RSVP – contact@ITintheD.com – there is no cost to attend. Recruiters, please send in your company’s name and the name(s) of those attending so that badges can be ready and waiting at the door. Job seekers can send their resume into that same email address for distribution.
