Pink Slip Party This Thursday, Live Broadcast Tonight, Silver Linings and More for 3/16/2015

It’s almost here…Pink Slip Party time.

This Thursday, we take over The Majestic Theater for one of our (in)famous events.  We’ve got sponsors coming.  We’ve got recruiters coming.  We’ve got people looking for jobs coming. We’ve got people looking to expand their professional network coming. We’ve got people who are just curious showing up to see what’s up.

Should be a great night, and you’ll hear more about that tonight during our live broadcast, so let’s get to some details…

11008802_533584600117384_1392688407195429278_n (1)Our next event will be a Pink Slip Party event, and it’s taking place THIS THURSDAY, March 19th at The Majestic Theater.

There’s a whole lot more information over at https://itinthed.com/16716/pink-slip-party-thursday-march-19-2015-at-majestic-theater/, so go give that a read.

Like everything we do, these events are completely free to attend.  Recruiters, please send us an email no later than end of day Tuesday (tomorrow!) letting us know that you’re coming so that we can have badges waiting for you.  Job seekers, do the same with your resume, and we’ll get it out to the recruiters that we know are coming.

We’ve even taken the time to put together a Frequently Asked Questions document over at https://itinthed.com/faq/, so give that a read as well.

Details on all of our events can be found here on the site – https://itinthed.com/meet/, on our Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/ITinTheD, or in our Meetup group – http://www.meetup.com/ITintheD/

Blog entries?

Oh, of course we have some blog entries for you to read.

silverliningFrom time to time, I forget to take my own advice, and that just happened recently.  I always tell people that they have to remember that you get to call the first mistake a learning experience. That even the worst of experiences has something positive for you to take away.  And I just “I could’ve had a V-8″ smacked myself in the forehead on Friday when I realized how true this was to one of the nastier experiences I’ve had in the past two years…  Check out The Silver Lining at https://itinthed.com/16794/the-silver-lining/ for more.

suck_lessTwo great How Not To Suck entries bubbled up.  One about networking in general at https://itinthed.com/2403/how-not-to-suck-at-networking/ and the other about LinkedIn at https://itinthed.com/2684/how-not-to-suck-at-linkedin/

Did you know that if you post a job on our site, it gets blasted out to our 13,000+ Twitter followers?  It’s free, and you should check that out at https://itinthed.com/work/

All of our blog entries are in “Read”: https://itinthed.com/read/

Information about our events are in “Meet”: https://itinthed.com/meet/

Info about our live broadcasts are in “Listen”: https://itinthed.com/listen/

You can post jobs and even share your resume with recruiters we approve of in “Work”: https://itinthed.com/work/

That’s all for this time.  Don’t forget to listen live tonight from 9pm until 11pm for episode 83, and we’ll see you Thursday night at The Majestic for our Pink Slip Party event!
