Tonight: All Things Yelp, Jobs, and Stuff You Need to Know for 9/29/2014

Anyone else freaking out that it’s already almost October?

We’ve got our live broadcast tonight with a couple great guests, our October and November casual networking events setup and on the books, a few blog entries for your to read, and the usual fun on our Facebook page and in our LinkedIn group

10491074_425267107615801_7798474098168039032_nOur next in-person networking event will be on Thursday, October 16th.

We’ll be back in the familiar stomping grounds of the back room of the Blackfinn in Royal Oak.

5pm start time.

In November we’ll be heading back to Stray Cat Lounge, the great place we were at back in May.

Details can be found here on the site –, on our Facebook page –, or in our Meetup group –

09292014Our live broadcast tonight has Annette Janik, the Detroit community manager for Yelp joining us.  You already know that Yelp winds up being a fairly regular topic on our show, and we’ll be diving into that and more tonight.  Yelp’s got their big annual event coming up in a couple of weeks, and with all of the vendors and free stuff you can get your hands on, you’re going to want to be there:

We’re also joined by Scott Sabellico of Project Leadership Associates, and so we’ll be talking jobs here in the area, as well as everything they’ve got going on and more.

Main_1280x540_1_ListenBasic information about our show and what we do can be found at  Not sure how to listen live?  You can read all about that at  Want to catch up on past episodes?  Hit our show archives page at

Our last episode with DetroitSOUP, All Things Detroit and the launch of Daily Detroit was pretty popular, it seems.  Give it a listen and read the recap out at to find out about micro-funding here in the area, a cool event with local shops and vendors in October, and a new website you need to pay attention to on a regular basis.

Blog entries?  Sure, we’ve got blog entries.  Some new ones as well as a couple relevant old ones that have bubbled up.

Oily Weasel Guy is always a good read…because yes, we ban people.  Don’t Be That Guy:

I never delete numbers out of my contacts list.  Ever.  Neither should you.  Read The Booty Call Networker to find out why:

Enjoy those, tune in live tonight, and then we’ll see you on October 16th at the Blackfinn!
