Leveling Up your Tech Project Management Skills: Workshop

Saturday, November 11th, 10:00am-5:00pm

Prerequisites: None

Think project management is just for project managers? Think again!

When we think about project management, the first thing that usually comes to mind is a project that is being run by a company. But what about the projects in your everyday life? We can apply the same principles of project management to both – and increase our efficiency.

In this interactive workshop, we will walk through all aspects of project management following the methodology provided by the Project Management Institute (PMI). You will learn how to create a plan to identify the tasks needed to accomplish an overall objective, manage time and resources efficiently, and communicate with other team members and stakeholders effectively.

Whether you are currently working in a technological field, or looking to transition into tech – the tools and techniques in this workshop will help you build your confidence and understand how to approach any project that may come your way.

WHAT TO BRING: Though not required, feel free to bring your laptop and charger. Power strips and wi-fi will be provided, along with notebooks for you to take home at the end of the session.  Certificates of attendance and completion will also be delivered to students via email after the workshop has ended.
