Episode 21 of IT in the D Tonight, Support The Troops Event Details
Tonight is our 21st episode of IT in the D.
Our annual year-end wrap up and Support The Troops event is just around the corner.
We had a great event this past Thursday night at Falling Down Beer Company.
This coming Thursday is Thanksgiving, and then the madness of Black Friday hits…so let’s get rolling…
For most of you, this is no surprise. Our December event for the last few years has been not only a way for us to gather, kick back, chill a bit and reflect on the past year’s mayhem, but we’ve tried very hard to do something good by supporting local Michigan military troops who are currently deployed overseas and their families back here at home.
There’s an entire Frequently Asked Questions document available here on our site, so make sure you read http://www.ITinTheD.com/6807/support-the-troops-faq-2013/ before asking any questions.
Because we took the time to create the FAQ, and if you don’t take the time to read it, then bad things will likely happen.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone there.
Great turnout, lots of really solid chats.
Heard from six people who’ve gotten new jobs recently through our events, as well as two recruiters who had placed other people as well.
Always makes for an awesome night.
So do the reuben eggrolls and the double IPA…
Thanks to everyone who made it out. Really appreciated seeing everyone, and Falling Down had a great night with our group for sure.
We’ve got Episode 21 of our IT in the D broadcast taking place tonight from 9pm to 11pm.
Our topic for the night…well, we’re not really quite sure we have one.
Technically speaking, I guess tonight is our Thanksgiving episode, and so we’re pretty sure we’re going to spend a lot of time covering “the basics”. What’s gone on this year, what’s planned for 2014 and beyond, and good discussions about who we are, what we do, and some of the more important details about our group.

You don’t have to be a professional baseball player to get smacked upside the head by a wild pitch. They happen all of the time in day to day life. But Don’t Be That Guy – The Wild Pitcher: http://www.ITinTheD.com/4955/dont-be-that-guy-the-wild-pitcher/
Our LinkedIn group has all of the usual fun in it – chatter and discussions, and of course some job postings: http://www.linkedin.com/groups/ITintheDorg-Detroit-Networking-Events-IT-91763
That’s all for this time, folks. Have a safe and happy holiday this week, and try not to get too carried away on Friday.
But if you do, get ready to share it, because I’m sure that will be a topic on next Monday night’s show.
Hope you can join us live tonight for the fun on the IT in the D show – http://www.ITinTheD.com/listen/ – and we’ll see you in a couple weeks for our December Support the Troops event – http://www.ITinTheD.com/meet/
