Looking for something to do tonight?

Head on over to Grand Circus to hang out with the ladies of Girl Develop It – Detroit and their supporters.

Or if you’re in the mood for some whiskey and boozing, there’s always Whiskey Business.

And don’t forget that Monday night we’re back live with IT in the D

Grand Circus is located at 1570 Woodward, in the Broderick Tower. You will be using the entrance with the gold doors on Woodward, not the residential entrance on Witherell. Once you enter, proceed to the 4th floor. You will be directed to your classroom from there.

Parking:

We recommend you park in the Grand Circus Park or Opera House parking garage, if there are no events. Grand Circus Park has a flat rate of $5, and the Opera House charges $2 for the first hour, with a $5 maximum. There are several lots in close proximity to Grand Circus, as well as ample street parking. If there is an event, we recommend parking at Compuware, which is $10.

Regardless of how you spell it (both whisky and whiskey are technically correct, it should be mentioned) or how you’ve enjoyed it in the past (neat, dirty, on the rocks, straight or mixed), the best way to enjoy whiskey is to savor it – the way you might a good wine. Real Detroit Weekly wants to take your taste buds on an exploration of wheat and rye at the newest and most exciting event since the Super Bowl – Whiskey Business. Giving you the opportunity to sample your way across continents to discover the best in scotches, bourbons and whiskeys – from locally produced bourbons to single malts, and from small batches to single grains. Everything from the new to the classic will provide you an unparalleled journey around the globe. Attendees can meet brand ambassadors that will offer their unique descriptions and insight on many different products, and numerous restaurants will be serving various whiskey-inspired appetizers. Live music rounds out the evening in grand fashion, providing entertainment – and whiskey – for all!

giveawayAnd then on Monday, we’re back live in the studio for the 19th episode of IT in the D: “Constructive Boozing and Building“.

We’ve got i3detroit coming in to join us, as well as the Detroit Drunken Historical Society.  Since it’s Veteran’s Day, we’ve also got Russ Dotson allegedly calling in at some point from his deployment overseas to start guilt tripping you into thinking about our December Casual Networking Social, Year End Wrap Up and Holiday Gathering, which is our annual “Support the Troops” event.

Oh, and we’ll also be giving away those Monster Magnet and Blues Traveler tickets while we’re on the air as well.
