Stuff the Shelves with Operation Kid Equip – This Saturday

Good cause, do it.

Stuff the Shelves with Operation: Kid Equip

This is an excellent opportunity to help a wonderful organization: Operation: Kid Equip.

OKE exists to make sure ALL children have access to the bare necessities to succeed in school.

There are TONS of “back to school” sales going on right now. If you could grab an extra notebook, pencils, crayons, glue sticks or anything else on the Operation: Kid Equip most wanted school supply list that would be awesome…

Even better is if you would say you were going to stop by this coming Saturday, August 13 at the OKE Annex (read teachers store) from 9-2 and help us “STUFF the shelves”.

Can’s make it Saturday and still want to donate? No worries, Comerica has your back. Just bring in your supplies to any Comerica Branch Office and they should have a box waiting your donation in the lobby.

Donate Supplies – Kids’ Wish List

Every donation helps you reach out to another local child in need.

People will often ask about the types of supplies the kids need. With the flow of donated supplies in and out of OKE, it’s sometimes hard to quickly list the most current needs.

Here is a listing of the most requested school supplies the kids need throughout the school year:

Crayons (16- or 24-packs)
Pencils
Pens
Markers (washable)
Scissors (blunt-tip)
Rulers
Glue Sticks
Spiral Notebooks
Copy Paper
Erasers
Backpacks

Besides these core school supplies, you can also donate other new & gently-used items which are appropriate for school-aged children and their classrooms:

Snacks (non-perishable, not expired)
Hygiene items
Clothing & Winter Wear
Binders
Office Supplies
