Merit Networks, Jay R Adams In Studio Tonight, Event Updates and More for 1/30/2017

0

Tonight we’ve truly got some fun, great guests joining us in-studio for what will be conversations ranging from security and the cloud to life on the set of Batman vs Superman and why professional wrestling and being a stunt double on national television shows have a lot in common.  If that doesn’t whet your appetite, we don’t know what will.  We’ve also got some event updates, blog entries, and all sorts of other fun in store for you, so let’s get to the details…

Our next in-person event will be our February Casual Networking Social that will be at Hamlin Corner in Royal Oak.

Please note the venue change.  We were originally scheduled to be somewhere else, but have moved due to scheduling conflicts to Hamlin Corner in Royal Oak.

As always, details on this and all of our events can be found on our Facebook pagehttps://www.facebook.com/ITinTheD/, in our Meetup grouphttps://www.meetup.com/ITintheD/, or here on our websitehttp://www.itinthed.com/meet/.

Of course we’ll annoyingly remind you about that several times during tonight’s episode 181 of our podcast coming at you live from the Podcast Detroit studios.

We’re being joined by the good folks from Merit Networks to talk cloud, security, and everything else they can do for you and your company.  We’re also rectifying a long-standing oversight on our part, because we have no idea why we haven’t had Jay R Adams on the show before.  Having known him for nearly 20 years, how have we not already had him in to talk about being one of the better known professional wrestlers in the area…including appearances at the WWE level…but most importantly (at least to you, our listeners), he’s made the transition to being an actor and stunt double, and has had parts in Batman vs Superman, multiple commercials, and the hit show The Outsiders on the WGN network.

I know, right?  Total fail on our part.  We’re fixing that tonight.

The mics go live at 9pm, so grab the Podcast Detroit app – http://www.podcastdetroit.com/app – and tune in to studio 1 to hear all of the fun.

Also on the Podcast Detroit front, we’ve got a lot of upcoming events that we’ll be doing live broadcasts from, including some we’re doing as “us”, but mostly ones that we’ll be doing under the “Podcast Detroit” banner (quite literally, in most cases…) that you should know about, be at, and plan on coming to check out:
