TedXDetroit Recap and Grand Circus In Studio Tonight, Event Next Week and More for 10-10-2016

With things being so hectic lately, it’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve put one of these out.  Doesn’t mean that we’ve gone dormant or into hiding…quite the opposite, it’s been kinda nuts and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.  We were at the Monroe Comic Con doing live broadcasts and interviews, we did TedXDetroit for more fun and cool interviews, we had our Metro Detroit Podcaster Meetup, we’re gearing up for the Cyber Security Summit next Monday, there have been a couple regularly scheduled weekly broadcasts of our show, new shows that have joined the Podcast Detroit network, and…phew.  Yeah, there’s been a lot going on, so let’s get to it…

eventnewspaper_oct2016As always, we start with our next upcoming in-person networking event.

On Thursday, October 20th, we’ll be back in the familiar stomping grounds of the Blackfinn in Royal Oak, in the back room and starting at 5pm.

No cover charges, no agendas, just good, solid networking opportunities with some of the best and brightest folks in the metro Detroit information technology community.

Details for that event…and all of the others we do…can be found here on the site – https://itinthed.com/meet/, on our Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/ITinTheD, or in our Meetup group – http://www.meetup.com/ITintheD/

We’ll naturally be talking about that, and everything else we’ve had going on lately during episode 166 of the IT in the D podcast broadcasting live from the Podcast Detroit studios tonight.  We’re being joined in studio tonight by guests to talk about our experience at TedXDetroit last week, as well as from Grand Circus.

PD_mic_Twitter_500x500…as always, you should listen live to hear it all…and as we keep telling you, you’d do well to grab the Podcast Detroit app for Android or iOS and listen that way.  You can find those apps here: http://www.podcastdetroit.com/how-to-listen/  The app has everything from the ability to listen live to all three studios, the back catalog of episodes from all 60+ shows on the network, a channel that plays nothing but live music from local bands 24/7 and more.

The mics go live starting at 9pm, and we hope you join us.

If you’re curious about what this “Podcast Detroit” thing is we keep talking about and referencing, you should probably give this a read: http://www.podcastdetroit.com/the-numbers/
