Reminder: Venue Changed for Thursday Night, Live Broadcast Tonight and More for 10/12/2015

I’m probably going to completely derail the show several times tonight…consider yourself warned.  We have our casual networking event on Thursday – and remember that we’re in Royal Oak at Hamlin Corner and NOT downtown due to the venue change, we’ve got our live broadcast tonight with some great guests joining us in-studio for conversations in-between my flashback moments from my high school reunion this past weekend, some blog entries and more for you on tap…

12112156_618952478247262_1643115034322986786_nAs always, we start with the information for our next upcoming in-person networking event.  As mentioned at the top, we’ve had a venue change.

Due to some minor whacky mayhem that ensued over the past couple of days, and so we needed to find a new place to have our October networking social…and we’re pretty confident that you’re going to love the new place as much as we do.  We’ll be at Hamlin Corner in downtown Royal Oak, up just past Emagine theater on Main Street.

Beautiful bar, incredibly well stocked with microbrews and booze, and the waitstaff and management are not only incredibly friendly and helpful, but also really looking forward to having us there.

So join us there next Thursday, October 15th.  Details can be found here on the site –, on our Facebook page –, or in our Meetup group –

12042640_613699412105902_2809916243233661168_nWe’ll be talking about that for sure on tonight’s live broadcast of episode 113 of our weekly podcast.

We’re joined by the crew behind the Fireside Podcast App that lets you clip and customize your podcast experience, along with one of our sponsors, Open Systems Technology, and the Newco folks to round things out for the night.

Plus, as mentioned earlier, I went to my high school reunion over the weekend, so our breaks are somewhere between “flashback central” and “oh god, he made a mix tape”.  Listen in for all of the fun starting at 9pm!

PD_mic_Twitter_500x500So…yeah.  It’s going to be a jam packed night.  Listen live to hear it all happen…and as mentioned up above, you’d do well to grab the Podcast Detroit app for Android or iOS and listen that way.  You can find those apps here:  As our network continues to grow, mature, and add new shows, we’ll be re-purposing the IT in the D stream and app space for a second Podcast Detroit broadcasting avenue, so you might as well start listening there now.

Mics go live at 9pm like always, so join us by listening live from 9pm to 11pm, and then hit us up by firing up Twitter and hitting @ITintheD during the show…and our phone line is up and operational as well.  We love audience participation, so come along and play with us!  Through the PD apps we just told you to get, you can interact with us via Facebook, Twitter, and even calling in.
