Venue Change for Next Thursday’s Event, Podcast Updates and More for 10/6/2015

We’ve got an important update regarding our casual networking event next Thursday night, we had a great podcast broadcast last night with our guests, and of course the usual round of blog entries and other fun for you…

12112156_618952478247262_1643115034322986786_nAs always, we start with the information for our next upcoming in-person networking event.  As mentioned at the top, we’ve had a venue change.

Due to some minor whacky mayhem that ensued over the past couple of days, and so we needed to find a new place to have our October networking social…and we’re pretty confident that you’re going to love the new place as much as we do.  We’ll be at Hamlin Corner in downtown Royal Oak, up just past Emagine theater on Main Street.

Beautiful bar, incredibly well stocked with microbrews and booze, and the waitstaff and management are not only incredibly friendly and helpful, but also really looking forward to having us there.

So join us there next Thursday, October 15th.  Details can be found here on the site –, on our Facebook page –, or in our Meetup group –

12096141_618731771602666_4795844256788813283_nWe talked about that on last night’s broadcast…yes, this week’s update is a day later than normal, mostly because we were in flux on the venue for next week and wanted to make sure we had it nailed down before communicating out with people.

It was a great episode…keep an eye out, as it’ll probably go live later tonight.

We were joined by Eric from Voodoo Choppers talking about his show on PBS now entering season 2 titled “A Craftsman’s Legacy“, Jessica from Django Girls Detroit talking about her upcoming event teaching women and girls how to code, and return guest (from way back in our very first episode) Wolfgang talking about his work at CBI, hacking, security, and training classes that CBI has started to try and get people doing exactly what they need them to be doing in their careers.
